【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthevolumeandfilestruc-tureofflexiblediskcartridges(FDC)fortheinterchangeofinformationbetweenusersofinformationprocessingsystems.Italsospecifiesanoptionalrecordstructure.ThisinternationalStandardisapplicabletovarioustypesofflexiblediskcartridgesincludingthoseidentifiedinclause3,andothertypeswhichmaybethesubjectoffutureInter-nationalStandards.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesthelocationoffilesofin-formationonaflexiblediskcartridge,andalsospecifiesasetofrecordeddescriptorswhichidentifies:—thefileswhichmaybeinterchanged;—thelocationsofthefiles;—theattributesofthefiles;—thelocationofunusedspaceforrecordingontheFDC;—thelocationofdefectiverecordingspaceontheFDC;—theattributesoftheFDCandofthedescriptorsrecordedonit.ThisInternationalStandardalsospecifiesrequirementsfortheprocesseswhichareprovidedwithininformationprocessingsystemstoenableinformationtobeinterchangedbetweendif-ferentsystems,utilizingrecordedflexiblediskcartridgesasthemediumofinterchange.Forthispurposeitspecifiesthefunc-tionswithinsystemswhichareintendedtooriginateortoreceiveflexiblediskcartridgeswhichconformtothisInter-nationalStandard.ThisInternationalStandardprovidesamethodforthealloca-tionofspacethatisindependentofthenumberoffilesthatarerecordedonthevolume.Italsoenablesthesizesoftherecord-edfilestobeexpandedorcontractedduringprocessing,sub-jectonlytotheavailabilityofunusedrecordingspacewhenneeded.ThecontentsandorganizationofthefilesarenotspecifiedbythisInternationalStandardandaresubjecttoagreementbe-tweentheoriginatorandtherecipientoftheinterchangedFDC.
